MINOR FIRES

A slight outbreak of Are caused by a leaking oil pipe at Eastgate Commercial Metals, Ltd., 220 Hazeldean road, was attended by a unit from Sydenham Snd another from the central fire station at midday yesterday. Some damage was done to air and fuel pipes. At 4.1 p.m. two units from the central station were called to, a rubbish fire in the yard of NuWay Drycleaning Company, Ltd., at 394 Avonside drive. No damage was done. A small fire among pine needles in the Rawhiti Domain at

New Brighton caused no damage. It was attended by two units from New Brighton at 4.55 p.m. Little damage was done when a chimney fire occurred at the Dominion Hotel, Gloucester street, yesterday at 6.34 pun. Three units from the Central Fire Brigade were in attendance for more than two hours.
