M. Izard, S.M., in , the Magistrate’s Court yesterday • afternoon. • Holmes was granted bail at » £lOO with one surety of £lOO. • Sergeant M. J. Ryan said the J accused had been arrested at «1.30 p.m. that day. • Walter Holmes was admitted to • the Christchurch Public Hospital • early yesterday with a severe ! head wound. Two constables, who arrived at the house •shortly after 6.30 a.m., found bloodstains on the driveway. w Allan Holmes was arrested by Detective-Sergeant Ball and "Detective G. D. Langley.
