8s In £ Initially For Shareholders
Shareholders of Woolston Tanneries, Ltd., will receive an initial return of 8s for every £1 share held.
This was announced at a special meeting of shareholders yesterday when it was resolved to wind up the company. It was announced that the company was holding a “substantial sum,” which would enable an immediate payment of £40,000 to shareholders.
Mr R. D’R. Mitchell, public accountant, of Christchurch, was appointed liquidator. The company still holds land and buildings at Woolston which are to be offered for sale.
