GERMAN SHIP RELEASED
French Remove Some Cargo CHERBOURG, November 8. The German freighter Bilbao (2250 tons), intercepted in the Channel on Wednesday by a French warship, sailed early today after French authorities had taken off about 80 cases of unspecified "material." The Bilbao is heading for Casablanca—her original destination.. Port sources said she was carrying about 1200 tons of cargo, mainly foodstuffs and car spares. No official reason has been given for the search, but according to naval sources the Government, acting on reports from Morocco, ordered it to check whether the freighter was carrying arms for the Algerian insurgents.
