Obituary MR R. C. MUNRO

Mr Robert Clarence Munro, a well-known Christchurch architect who designed the new Wellington Anglican Cathedral, died at his home at Mount Pleasant yesterday after a short illnets. Ho was 49. Mr Munro was bom and educated, in Akaroa. He joined the staff of the Lands and Survey Department and then the staff of an architect, Mr Cecil Wood. He qualified as a professional student and began his own business in 1945. As architect for the Wellington Cathedral, which Is still being built, he was working on the project when he died. Mr Munro was president of the Psychic Research Society of Christchurch, and president of the Christchurch Model Yacht Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Margaret Munro, and a brother, Mr S.-..-A* Munro, of Christ* church.’’
