Strontium-90 In Pacific

Japanese scientists said today that radioactive contamination of the Pacific Ocean from strontium--90 released by American nuclear tests was up to 60 times more than that of the Atlantic, and that Japan got more radioactive rain than any place in the world. One said the contamination of

the Pacific was still far below the danger level, but warned that if the trend continued it would not be possible to eat fish obtained from the Pacific, British United Press reported. The scientists were reporting to a national chemical conference held at the Shizuoka University.
