Opening Of Auckland Competition (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 12. The former New Zealand captain. G O. Rabone, was in devastating form with the bat and ball when the Auckland Cricket Association’s club competition opened on Saturday. Rabone scored 126 for Eastern in less than two hours and a half and took a total of eight Eden wickets for 39 runs. The New Zealand fast bowler, J. A. Hayes, took six for 22 against Eden, which needs 84 runs from its last three wickets to avoid an innings defeat.
