ELLESMERE SHOW ENTRIES
New Record Set In Horse Sections
•A record entry of 586 in the horse and riding sections has been received for the annual show of the Ellesmere Agricultural and Pastoral Association, to be held at Leeston next Saturday The total number of entries ovei all sections is approximately 1600 which, is slightly better than the figure reached for last year's show. Sheep entries total 402 and cattle 165. There are increases in several other sections The only substantial decline is in grain and seeds, which is remarkable for a district such a Ellesmere, always noted for its production of grain and small seeds.
