Salevards Corner Widening

The widening and rounding off of the Deans avenue-Moorhouse avenue corner near the Addington saleyards to complete the Blenheim road outlet will be discussed shortly by the Christchurch City Council and the Riccarton Borough Council. The Mayor of Riccarton (Mr E. J. Bradshaw), Cr. E. R. Longley, and the Town Clerk (Mr R. Sarjeant) were appointed a Riccarton Borough Council sub-com-mittee to meet the city council’s representatives when the borough council met last evening. It was also decided that the sub-committee should meet representatives of the Canterbury Saleyards Company, Ltd., regarding vehicular parking in the area.
