DR. WOODARD RETURNS

“Healing Power Of God” Even since his visit to New Zealand a year ago, churches of all denominations throughout the world were awakening to the healing power of Jesus Christ, said Dr. Christopher Woodard, a Harley street specialist, last evening. In Canada, where thousands of persons had attended his missions during his recent 14-day tour, the Fellowship of Christian Healing had given money to the Anglican Church and the United Church (which comprised the Presbyterian, Methodist and Baptist churches) to continue the work, he said. Nothing could stop the work of Christian healing, he said. In this atomic age persons were seeking Christian healing and no disease was incurable. He emphasised that he did not cure anyone. It was the healing power of God, combined with the persons releasing the power within them. Fellowship The Fellowship of Christian Healing, which was arranging his New Zealand tour, was working towards encouraging all churches in New Zealand to co-operate in Christian healing, said Dr. Woodard. Dr. Woodard, who arrived at Christchurch airport from Auckland last evening, was met by me Dominion organiser of his tour (Mr F. G. Ullrich) and the Christchurch organiser (Mr D. C. Milne). Accompanied by Mrs Woodard, he will leave for Greymouth today, where he will begin his New Zealand tour.
