COMMERCIAL Week’s Trading Ends On Quieter Note

Trading on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday closed the week on a quieter note, with easing in Australian retailers as a feature. Dominion Breweries sold at 70s, Is 6d better than trading a week ago. N.Z. Insurance improved Is to 765. Hays, c.d., changed hands 6d higher in one transaction at 26s 6d. A.N.Z. Bank eased Is to 49s in first trading for some weeks. N.Z. Refrigerating eased 2d to sell at 34s 6d. Lane Walker were down 6d at 46s 6d. Waltons, c.d., dropped 3d to 12s lid, G. J. Coles sold Id down at 14s 9d, and Reid Murray fell 2d to 9s lOd. Tasman, William Cable, Woolworths and Christchurch Gas were unchanged.
