RUGBY TOUR IN 1960
Trades Council Joins Protest (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 2. The Wellington Trades Council has added its protest to the proposal of the New Zealand Rugby Union to send an all-white team to represent the country in South Africa next year. The council has .-recommended that the Federation of Labour support the principles underlying the activities of the Citizens All Black Tour Association and that the federation recommend trades councils where committees of the association exist, to appoint representatives to carry out the decisions of the federation. The council has appointed three delegates to the Wellington committee of the All Black Tour Association.
