Sheep Killed By Hail
I Sir, —In today’s paper I notice that a farmer in Taranaki has lost !62 sheep after a severe hail storm. I should like to pass on the following well tried hint for others who may be caught in the same way. If possible, place each sheep in a sack, but be sure to tie the mouth of the sack tightly and lay the sheep on the floor of a shed My husband tried this and it was a great success. The sheep will not smother.— Yours, etc., R.H. i September 10, 1959.
