Russian’s Walking Records.— The Soviet athlete Mikhail Lavrov has set two new world cinder track walking records. Moscow Radio announced today. The radio said that at a meeting organised by the Trud Sports Society in Grozny, Lavrov covered 30 miles in 4hr 2min 4.6 sec, and 50 kilometres in 4hr Umin 18.6 sec September 16.
