(New Zealana Press Association) AUCKLAND, September 17. The hearing of the dispute about manning the Union Company’s Islands vessel, Tofua, began this morning and lasted all day. The dispute began when the Tofua’s master refused to reengage the bosun and an able seaman when the ship recommissioned after an overhaul at Auckland. The company and the Seamen’s Union agreed that the matter should go to arbitration. The hearing is being held in private.
