NOMINATED FOR SQUAW VALLEY -

WELLINGTON, September 16. The New Zealand men's ski champion, W. F. Hunt, of Te Kuiti, and the 1958 champion, S. A. Chaffey, of Marlborough, are among the nominees—three men and three women—by the New Zealand Ski Association to represent the Dominion at next year’s winter Olympics at Squaw Valley, California.

The other nominees are J. Willis and Miss P. Prain, both of Canterbury. Miss P. Hall, of Canterbury, and Miss C. Womersley, of North Canterbury. The New Zealand Ski Association advised an executive meeting of the New Zealand Olympic and British Empire Games Association last night that the president of the Ski Association

(Mr R. S. Duncan) would travel with the team to Squaw Valley as manager, An association council member, Mr L. B. Collins, of Auckland, will meet the Olympic Games Association's selection panel in Wellington next month and present full reports on each of the six skiers. The Squaw Valley events are scheduled for late January and early February.
