SALVATION ARMY GROUP

Visits To Peninsula Schools

A party of five Salvation Army officers will visit schools in the Banks Peninsula area from September 28 to October 7. They will give musical performances and film shows for the children, and also conduct films for adults.

Composed of Mr A. Allen (Ashburton), senior Captain E. Major (Linwood), Captains H. Bitsford (Sydenham) and N. Jones (Spreydon) and Lieutenant J. Gainsford (Hornby), the party will perform in local halls, where available, and schools, including Duvauchelle Bay, Okain’s Bay, Port Levy, Pigeon Bay and Little Akaloa. The visit, which takes place annually, has been organised by the divisional youth director (Major J. C. Waite).
