COWLISHAW CUP
Win For Ellesmere Team The Cowlishaw Cup. given by the late Miss Cowlishaw in 1927, was competed for at Shirley yesterday by 30 visiting teams. The competition is now played as a foursome stroke, the members of the Christchurch Ladies’ Golf Club acting as scorers while competing for the Manuhiri Cup given by Canterbury women’s clubs The Pumphrey Cup. given in 1938 by the late Mr E. Pumphrey, is won by the visiting pair with tne lowest net score. Results were:— Cowlishaw Cup.—Ellesmere (Miss D. McMillan and Mrs R. L. Skilling, 90, 13—75: Mrs R. Newton and Mrs W. Bisman, 101, 20—81; total, 156.
