Cricket LIFE MEMBERS NOMINATED
Messrs Luttrell And Crawford Two noted cricket administrators have been nominated for life membership of the Canterbury Cricket Association by the association’s management committee. They are Messrs E. E. Luttrell and C. G. Crawford. A motion to confer life membership on them will come before the annual meeting of the association this evening.
Mr Luttrell will retire later this year from the position of secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council, an office he has filled for the last 23 years. For the previous 23 years, he. was secretary of the Canterbury association, and he has also contributed largely to cricket administration on a club level. A prominent senior player, Mr Luttrell was responsible for managing Plunket Shield teams and organising tours of semirepresentative sides. Mr Crawford, a New Zealand representative batsman some 30 years ago, has been a member of I the Canterbury Cricket Association for the last 20 years. He has held the office of president for| the last three years, has spent] many years on the association’s] management committee, and has] held several offices in the St. 1 Albans club.
