PARLIAMENTS DIARY
Almost all yesterday’s sitting of Parliament was devoted to the discussion of two votes in the Estimates, both of which were passed. During formal business, eight questions were asked, and the decisions on two petitions were tabled. The Estimates passed, with the amounts actually expended in each case in brackets, were as follows: Roads, etc., £2,100,000 (£2,308.653). Electric Supply Account, £24.380,000 (£23,145,156). When it rose at 10:30 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. today, the House was discussing the Social Security vote in the Estimates.
