Situation.—A weak ridge of high pressure lies over northern New Zealand and a weak anti-cyclone is over the central Tasman Sea. Between these systems a frontal zone lies across central New Zealand. Forecast: Westland and Buller.—Moderate winds, mainly southwesterlies; variable skies, with a few showers; temperatures moderate to cool. Outlook: scattered showers. Nelson.—Light or moderate variable winds; showers about the ranges, otherwise mainly fair with moderate temperatures. Outlook: mainly fair. Marlborough.—Light winds on the Kaikoura coast, otherwise moderate westerlies; cloudy at first, becoming mainly fair. Outlook: fair.
