CAR OVERTURNS ON MOTORWAY
Woman Killed, Four Injured

A Rotorua woman died in Middlemore Hospital today from injuries received when the car her son was driving overturned three times on the southern motorway past the Mt. Wellington turn-off on Saturday morning. She was
Mrs Kathleen Isabella Park, aged 72, married, of Tarewa road. Rotorua.
The occupants of the car, who included Mrs Park’s husband, her son and two nieces, were all taken to the same hospital. Richard G. Park, aged 85, retired, of Rotorua, and Gavin Park, aged 20, salesman, of Rotorua, suffered concussion; Robin Freeland, aged 13, of Mt. Albert, received an injury to the left knee, and Lorraine Kennedy, aged 14, of Mt. Albert, received concussion.
The hospital reported the condition of all the injured tonight to be “fairly satisfactory.”
