Indoor Basketball Saints Defeat N.Z. Side

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 13.

The Latter Day Saints beat a stubborn New Zealand indoor basketball side by 56-37 at Wellington on Saturday night.

The Saints turned on a superb display of speed, skill as individuals and a team, to romp home after leading comfortably the whole distance. The ease and accuracy of their goal-shooting was perhaps the most impressive phase. Hook shots from either hand, rebounds, and set shots whisked through the basket with uncanny precision. New Zealand missed 25 or 32 shots in the first spell, but notwithstanding, the team handled well as a general rule. It was indecisive shooting which lost it the game.
