Squash Rackets NEW ZEALAND TITLES

Coe Beaten In Hard Game

(New Zealand Press Association) NAPIER, Sept. 13. A match between two British players was the feature of the third round of the men’s A grade open event at the New Zealand squash rackets championships, which continued in Napier today. M. A. H. Oddy beat J. Lyon, 9-3, 9-4, 9-4, and in doing so provided an object lesson in squash rackets. Oddy’s anticipation, speed, and stroking were quite outstanding. Lyon strove hard to upset his more accomplished opponent, but he had to bow to Oddy’s greater versatility and experience.

A sensation was provided tn the second round of the men’s A grade open, when the captain of the British team, R. B. R. Wilson, lost the second set of his match with N. Coe (Timaru), 2-9.
