Sub-Unions Beaten At Ashbnrton
(New Zealand Press Association) ASHBURTON, September 12. Mid-Canterbury extended its good record for the season to seven wins tn eight games, with a 2-9 win ovei Canterbury Sub-Unions at the Ashburton Show Grounds this afternoon in a rather scrappy game. The half-time score was Canterburv Sub-Unions 6, Mid-Canterbury 3.
Scorers for Mid-Canterbury were A. H Smith (two penalties and two conversions). R. G. Fraser, A. Oliver and B. Coulter, tries. Canterbury Sub-Unions: C. Anderson (a penalty), C. J. Chadwick and P. Fleming, tries.
