Secondary Schools’ Public Speaking

(New Zeaiana Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 4. The secondary schools public speaking contest, sponsored by the National Safety Association of New Zealand, the Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Department of Education, is nearing completion. Divisional finals of the contest, the "subject of which is “Safety a way of life,” have been held, and five winners have been picked. The five will travel to Wellington to compete in the final in the Town Hall Concert Chamber on September 9.

The winner of the contest will receive a silver cup and a miniature, and all finalists will be presented with inscribed gold watches.
