ADELAIDE STEAM BONUS ISSUE
Counter To Bid By H. C. Sleigh, Ltd.

Adelaide Steamship Company, Ltd., is doubling its proposed bonus share issue to counter the £l2m take-over bid being made direct to shareholders by H. C. Sleigh, Ltd. Adelaide Steamship . directors state, in a circular to shareholders, that they now propose to make a one-for-one bonus of £1 shares which will be subsequently split into 5s units. This will give shareholders eight 5s shares for each £1 ordinary share now held. The previous proposal was to make a one-for-two bonus and share split.
Directors expect to pay dividend of at least 9 per cent, on the higher capital.
