Link With British Paint Firm
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 4.
The directors of Smith and Smith, Ltd., announce that they have formed an association with British Paints (Holdings), Ltd., of the United Kingdom. A new company, British Paints (N.Z.), Ltd., with a capital of £400.000, has been registered to operate the paint manufacturing plants of Smith and Smith, Ltd. Smith and Smith, Ltd., will hold a 40 per cent, interest in the new company and British Paints • Holdings). Ltd., will have a 60 per cent, interest. The headquarters of the new company will be in Auckland, where a new factory will be erected to centralise the manufacturing activities at present carried on at Dunedin, Paraparaumu and Auckland.
