TRADE POST IN HONG KONG
Public Invited To Apply (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 4. The Department of Industries and Commerce is inviting applications from the public for the position of New Zealand Government Trade Commissioner in Hong Kong. Questioned about the advertisements, the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Holloway) said today that the calling of public applications for the post was a change in policy. “We want the best man possible for such a position irrespective of whether he is in the public service or not.” Mr Holloway said. “The policy' of the overseas trade service is to promote trade and maybe an ‘outside the service’ man will be best suited to this post.” he said.
