FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT
Situation.—A small depression is passing to the north of the North Island, but an anti-cyclone extends on to New Zealand from the Western Tasman Sea. Forecast: West Coast.—Light winds; some patches of drizzle at first, otherwise fair, with moderate temperatures. Nelson and Marlborough.—Light, variable winds; fair, with moderate temperatures. Canterbury.—Moderate north-easterly winds near the coast, light and variable inland: some patches of fog at first, but otherwise fair, with cool temperatures. Outlook.—All districts: fair.
