Board Reaffirms Decision

I (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. September 4. The Maori Rugby Advisory Board of the New Zealand Rugby Union reaffirmed its decision on the 1960 tour of South Africa at a meeting held in committee at Auckland today.

The chairman (Mr J. D. King) released the following statement after the meeting: “That this meeting of the Maori Rugby Advisory Board f unanimously reaffirms its.dei cision passed at a previous board meeting that in the best interests of Maori players that they be not included in the team to tour South Africa in 1960, and the board expresses good wishes to those plavers chosen to represent New Zealand on the tour.” A resolution to this effect was moved by Mr. T. French and seconded by Mr W. Barclay.
