ONE MAN KILLED, TWO INJURED

Roads Accidents In Southland

INVERCARGILL, August 30

One man died and two were seriously injured in road accidents in Southland on Saturday.

The dead man was Angus Robert Marshall, aged 60, of Myross Bush.

Mr Marshall died in Kew. Hospital two hours after his car struck a concrete bridge about five miles out of Invercargill. The other accident, also on the main highway, occurred between Edendale and Ota creek, about 20 miles from Invercargill,, at 6.25 p.m. , A car travelling towards Invercargill collided head-on with a van. The driver of the car. Arthur William Gormack, farmer, of Woodlands, and the driver of the van, William Baldwin, storekeeper, of Mokoreta, who were both seriously injured, were admitted to Kew Hospital.
