Myer Emporium.—The Myer Emporium. Ltd., had another good year to July 31. when net profit of the parent company advanced to a new record of £1,104.787, compared with £1.032.629 last year. Ordinary dividend is again 15 2-3 per cent., the rate established last year. It is equivalent to lOd a 5s stock unit. The final of 6d will be paid after the annual meeting on November 5. —(N.Z.P.A., Melbourne, August 27.) A.B.P.M.— Associated Pulp and Paper Mills. Ltd., lifted group net profit by £475.309, or 46 peg cent, to £1,506.236 for the year ended June 30. The profit is after heavier provisions tax £923,500 (up £423,470) and depreciation £912,874 iup £185,505). Dividend, as already announced, is up from 9 to 11 per cent.—(N.Z.P.A., Melbourne. Shares.— Companies will now be permitted to hold shares in the Colonial Sugar Refining Company, Ltd., under their corporate names Cabled advice was received by the Auckland office of Colonial Sugar that amendments to the articles of association permitting this were approved by shareholders at an extraordinary general meeting in Sydney on Wednesday.—(P.A.)
