(New Zealana Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 27.

The Federation of the Societies for the Protection of Home and Family at its national conference adopted the following remit:

“That the federation, being concerned at the possible effects of the introduction of television on social life in New Zealand, asks the Government to take steps to retain the full control of this medium so as to ensure a high standard of entertainment, both culturally and educationally, and further suggests the setting up of an independent board of governors under the Minister of Broadcasting—similar to the 8.8. C,”
