COSTS IN MINOR OFFENCES

Reduction Refused By Minister

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 26. The Minister of Justice (Mi Mason) has declined representations by the North and South Island Motor Unions requesting him to consider reducing the scale of costs for minor offences. A letter from the Minister, tabled at today’s meeting of the N.1.M.U., set out the method of assessing such costs and said a reduction would not be justified.
