ST. MARGARET’S COLLEGE
Move Into Same Building
The pupils of St. Margaret’s College would be all in the same collection of buildings “at long last” next term, said the bursar (Mr J. N. Allan) yesterday. The grounds staff and a carrying firm began moving all the equipment from the old school in Cranmer square yesterday to the new buildings at the end of Shrewsbury street. Mr Allan said he expected the job would take almost two weeks. Everything that was in the old school will bo used in the new buildings, although they also have new equipment. The senior school will start the third school term at Shrewsbury street, where the intermediate and junior schools have always been. Mr Allan said the official opening of the new blocks would not be held until next year because there were still new commercial rooms to be built, grounds-to be laid out and fencing and paths to be built. The new buildings to be occupied next term are an arts and geography block, a twostorey block of 10 classrooms, a chemistry and biology block, and an assembly and administration block.
