The offer made by the National Mutual Life Association of Australasia, Ltd., to purchase all the shares of the Wellington Trust, Loan and Investment Company. Ltd., has been accepted by the i holders of more than 90 per cent, i of the value of issued share capital (other than the value of issued capital already held by National Mutual). The offer is £8 5s for each £5 paid share and £l6 10s for each £lO paid share. Before the association can complete the purchase, it is necessary for the company’s memorandum and articles of association to be j altered. The Supreme Court has directed that a general meeting of shareholders be held for this purpose on September 8. 1959. Reid Rubber Plastics Venture,— An insulation material to be manufactured by Reid New Zealand Rubber Milla, Ltd., will be marketed by a new £20.000 private company floated in Auckland. The capital of the new company—Explastics Insulations <1959). Ltd.. Christchurch— s equally divided between Reid Rubber and Explastics Investments (New Zealand). Ltd.
