Brigadier John Wells, principal of the Salvation Army Training College in Wellington, has been promoted to the rank of Lieuten-ant-Colonel. He has served in the Salvation Army in Great Britain and China, and has also been on the staff of the Army's training college in Canada.
Senior Captain May Beckham, of the Christchurch Salvation Army Corps has been promoted to the rank of Major. She has been a member of the staff of the People’s Palace Hotel in Christchurch for eight years.
Mr J. B. Holder, a teacher at Hoon Kay School, has been appointed a Sunday school organiser by the Christchurch Diocesan Youth Council. He will take up his appointment on October 5.
