DENTAL SERVICES PRAISED
Address By Former
Director
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 20.
“I have had the opportunity of studying overseas dental services and I have yet to see a dental service to compare with that in New Zealand for effectiveness and comprehensive coverage,” the former Director of Dental Services, Mr J. L. Saunders, said at a dental nurses’ graduation ceremony today. He said, however, that the country could not afford to be complacent. “If the public gave rore attention to the prevention of denial disorders." he said, “both the task of the dental service and the strain on the pocket of the taxpayer would be greatly eased.”
Nurse Diana Bendall (Ekatahuna) qualified as top dental nurse when she won the directors’ medallion and achieved honours in both theo-v and practical examinations.
Nurse Margaret Cheevers <Christchurch* won honours in theory, and Nurse Judith Morrison (Levin), honours in the practical examination.
