B.M.C. Sales In U.S.

More British Motor Corporation cars were sold in the United States in the first seven months this year than in the whole of 1958, Hambro Automotive Corporation, B.M.C.’s United States representative, announced last week, according to the New York correspondent of the “Financial Times.”

The total up to the end of July was 34,087 units. In the same period last year 17,711 cars were sold, and in the whole of 1958, 33,109.

B.M.C. is the fourth largest motor manufacturer in the world after Ford, General Motors and Chrysler.

Last year's interim dividend of 5 per cent, was fo lowed by a final dividend of 6 per cent.
