Stereophonic Sound
Sir, —“Audiophile’s advocacy of stereophonic sound reminds me of the story of the Japanese tailor. Apparently an Englishman took him an old pair of patched and torn pants and asked him to make a new pair the same. He was greeted next day by the tailor all smiles. The pants were finished——an exact replica—complete in every detail, including the tears and patches.—Yours, etc., DISTINGUISHED. August 16, 1959.
