Slazenger Title Won By Cooper

Ashley Cooper, the 1958 Wimbledon champion, fought back from two sets down to beat his fellow-Aus-tralian, Lew Hoad, in the singles final of the Slazenger professional lawn tennis tournament today. Cooper won. 9-11. 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 0-6 in a match which lasted two hours and a quarter.
On Full Pay.— Presbyterian public servants in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, have been granted five days’ leave on full pay to attend the Brazilian Presbyterian Church centennial celebrations this week, says a report from the Rt. Rev. Dr. J. D. Salmond, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, who is attending the celebrations. “Such a concession has never before been given to evangelical churches,” says Dr. Salmond.
