(From Our Own Reporter) HOKITIKA, August 16. During logging operations in bush near Harihari on Friday morning, a bushman, Ernest McHugh, aged about 45 years, single, of Harihari, was severely injured when he was struck on the back by a tree. Mr McHugh, who is employed by Martini and Sare. Ltd., was snigging a log with a winch with some other bushmen when the log fouled a tree which crashed down and struck him. He was brought to the Westland Hospital by ambulance where his condition today was reported to be serious.
