Censure Motion On Budget

(Rec. 7.30 p.m.) CANBERRA, August 13.

The Federal Opposition has decided to move a vote of censure on the 1959-60 Budget presented in Parliament on Tuesday night by the treasurer (Mr H. Holt). The Leader of the Opposition (Dr. Evatt) will move the censure in Parliament on Tuesday night Dr. Evatt will charge the Government with continuing to assist the wealthy combines and monopolies The Labour censure will take the traditional form, with Dr Evatt moving that the first item of expenditure be reduced by £1 and then proceeding to list the grounds of objection.
