Thief Sent To Gaol For Three Years
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 12. Appearing for sentence in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court today on two charges of housebreaking nd theft, Lance Raymond Long, aged 25, a labourer, was gaoled for three years on each charge, the terms to be concurrent. Mr M. C. Astley, S.M., said both offences were mean in that Long enjoyed the hospitality of the owners of the houses found out their movements, and returned to take quantities of their property. He had 37 convictions for dishonesty since 1951.
