CONCERN BY N.Z. PLAYWRIGHTS
Difficult To Get Plays Published

At a recent ' meeting of the newly-elected Dominion Council of the Playwrights’ Association of New Zealand, in Wellington, members expressed concern at the difficulties playwrights must suffer in getting their plays published.
The council considered what action it could take in an attempt to reduce such difficulties and expects to be able to make an announcement later. Members of the Dominion Council are: president, Mrs J. Lawrence (Blenheim); vice-presi-dents, Mrs J. Bulloch (Wellington) and Mr E. Rose (Wellington); council, Mrs R. Challies (Upper Hutt). Miss O. Harding (Wellington), Mrs P. Davidson (Hastings), Miss M. Williams (Wellington), Mrs I. Fowler (Wellington), Mr E. Nelson (Wanganui); secretary, Mr T. A. Drakeford.
