Experts’ Report Deferred (lee. 1® pjn.) GENEVA, July 4. Nuclear experts now studying high altitude tests have not yet readied agreement and will not therefore be able to report back to the test ban conference on Monday, conference sources said today. The group .<ras set up by the

conference—made up of the Soviet Union, the United States and Britain—on June 22 to examine die problem of the detection and identification of explosions more than 18 to 31 miles above the earth. They were due to report back on June 29, but on that day asked for further time to reach complete agreement

Towards the end of this week, it was understood that progress had been made and the group was likely to present its final report on Monday. But conference sources said today that there was still more work to be done and the experts were "doggedly continuing their discussions.” Agreement on means of detecting and identifying high-altitude tests would be incorporated into a system of policing a world-wide nuclear test ban.
