Development Plan
A plan to investigate proposals for. the economic and social advancement of the Chatham Islands has been prepared by the Resident Commissioner in consultation with the Chatham Islands County Council, according to the annual report of the Department of Island Territories, presented to the House of Representatives. The plan, which is at present being considered by the Government, includes proposals for afforestation, electric power and water supply, land development, finance and communications.
