GAOL FOR THEFT, FORGERY

(New Zealand Press Association) WANGANUI, July 5. A former Taihape Post and Telegraph Department supervisor Gordon James Brock, aged 41 a married man with eight children, was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment when he appeared for sentence before Mr W, C. Harley, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Wanganui on Friday, on charges involving theft and forgery. Brock had pleaded guilty at the Taihape Court on June 25 to four charges of theft, involving a total of £1565, the property of the Post and Telegraph Department, and to nine charges of forgery.
