INTERNATIONAL WOOL BODY

Mr R. G. Lund Chosen As Chairman

Mr R. G. Lund, formerly of Christchurch, has been appointed chairman of the International Wool Secretariat, according to a London announcement. He succeeds Mr H. K. P. Wood.

Mr Lund has been New Zealand representative on the secretariat since 1946 and was appointed chairman for a term in 1950.

Mr Lund was bom in Christchurch in 1909. and was educated at the Christchurch Boys’ High School. He joined the staff of ‘‘The Press” in 1930, became chief of staff in 1934, and was' appointed editor of the "Southland Times” in 1936, holding that post until his appointment to the International Wool Secretariat.
